Uneven Bars in Armstrong

In an great example of cooperation between community organizations we are very pleased to add uneven bars to the program in Armstrong. With this equipment, Coach Dale can now offer the Rainbow Program in Armstrong.

In the past we were constrained by storage space for equipment. Last Summer, Mr. Abbott, the new pricipal of Armstrong Elementary, removed the partitions from a changing room for equipment storage. Also he gave his approval to install floor plates to anchor the bars.

Armstrong Parks and Recreation kindly purchased the floor plates and anchors. The SD83 Maintenance Superintendent reviewed the plans for installing the floorplates and gave the approval to proceed. With the help of Hugh Cameron (Noramec Construction) and Kevin Brunner (Interior Concrete Cutting Services Ltd.) the floor plates were installed on a Saturday and the uneven bars were a reality.
